Global Environmental Assessments & Response (GEAR) is an environmental management and consulting firm, established initially as EAST in 1986. GEAR has extensive risk management experience in general environmental, sustainability, waste, recycling, and safety issues. The principals of GEAR have consulted to Fortune 500 companies worldwide and have been trusted to develop environmental plans, evaluations, and assessments for ongoing management, acquisitions, mergers, insurance claims, and other corporate due diligence. GEAR understands complex federal, state, and local environmental management regulations and organizations. GEAR provides the guidance that our clients need to assess environmental safety, and security risks, develop plans and management strategies, and address issues that require mitigation.

GEAR professionals have over 40 years of systems-based environmental management experience. Environmental specialties include acquisition and site assessments, management planning, site development, permitting, natural resources management, sustainability, industrial waste, compliance management, and industrial safety. GEAR personnel have subcontracted and supervised many major design-build, geotechnical, and civil engineering firms worldwide. GEAR has supported corporate, government, and military projects with environmental and risk management concerns that affect most industries. International NAICS industries from appliances, automotive, and aerospace to electronics, mining and metals, petroleum exploration and petrochemical refining, to leather have been assisted by GEAR professionals.

If and when environmental issues arise GEAR personnel have the knowledge and experience to support development interests for site remediation and mitigation planning, closure actions, wetland delineation, permitting, habitat management and restoration, and threatened & endangered species assessments.
